| Description | The goal is to fill a balloon with hydrogen, allow it to gain some altitude and then have it explode, typically by means of a fuse. |
| Basics | Typically, we fill a single balloon with hydrogen generated from an old weather balloon kit and using a gum out can as an engine. Running the hose from the can to the balloon through ice, snow, or water is a good idea. |
| Why is this something we want to do? | When it works, we get a loud mid-air explosion. |
| Variations: | We could get actual cylinders of hydrogen which might let us do this on a much larger scale. |
