| Description | We hold a combination carnival/street fair. |
| Basics | Basically, we have a simulation marketplace of sorts where everyone sells some sort of thing, like cookies, or renting out use of a video game machine, or bed making or anything that they can think of to do. Then we give everyone a specific amount of fake money and they interact in this market place. The person has to sell whatever their selling and has to decide when to sell it (as opposed to when to be out buying other people's stuff) and how much to charge and how to advertise and so forth. They also have to pay taxes to a tax collector (someone who will keep this money separate from their own) they have to rent space to set up shop and so forth. We actually did this in my fifth grade class and it was a lot of fun. |
| Why is this something we want to do? | Running your own business is fun and in some cases, the business would sell a fun product like games or candy. |
| Variations: | I can't think of any but they are possible I'm sure. |
